Eala traveller! Perhaps you have a Viking day at school and you want to look the part, or maybe you just think that the Anglo-Saxons are cool and you want to be like one, whatever the reason you will need to find out how they dressed in order to create your own costume.

Everybody loves a biscuit!

Viking clothing was very different to the clothes that are worn today. Neither the Vikings nor the Anglo-Saxons had clothes with pockets. In the Viking era if you wanted to carry valuables around with you then you would need a pouch which you could attach onto your belt. Usually these pouches would be made from leather and could be plain or highly decorated depending on your wealth.

So you are all dressed up and ready for your Viking day, but what should we call you?
