A popular choice for Christmas and an excellent addition to the events programme for any time of year. "Applicants" make their way to the workshop where they meet Thomas the Toy Maker. Thomas tells some of the stories about the toys that he has in his workshop before explaining the making process. When the applicants are ready they can choose the wooden toy that they would like to make and start upon their wonderful creation. The workshop is over for each applicant when they have finished their toy, which they get to take home with them afterwards.

With up to four workshops per day, each workshop takes on average between 30-40 minutes, depending on how much time is taken on each toy. The maximum number of participants per workshop is dependant on the space available.
